About The Position

There's a significant demand for sovereign AI across North America at the municipal, state and Federal level. Job creation, automation of governmental functions, and also attracting local business investments are all key drivers. Protection of data is important and statutory in some cases (e.g. HIPAA). HPE has a number of key wins at the state level and with Telcos, and a large pipeline. This role will help create and curate that pipeline. The ideal candidate will have high familiarity with US Federal and various state data and information security protocols and certifications and be able to explain to customers how HPE's solutions will be aligned with these. He or she will also be able to provide input to product management and engineering on same, while working with sales teams to pursue opportunities requiring high levels of security. The candidate should be comfortable in being a spokesperson for HPE in sovereign security at the customer level, local show and major tradeshow level.

Requirements

  • Highly technical individual with formal training and/or deep experience with AI.
  • Minimum of a CS, Engr, or hard sciences degree with a focus or minor in AI (Master's or PhD level degree is a plus).
  • Experience working on at least one AI system implementation (academic or industry project, ML/Expert System and/or LLM/SLM preferred) at scale, either individually or with a team.
  • 3+ additional years in developing (programming and/or data engineering) in a corporate environment.
  • Experience in designing complex AI environments, especially sovereign, with needs for data security.
  • Deep training (PhD level) and/or 10 years+ industry experience in security protocols and certifications for data security.
  • Participation as a lead in GRC activities to include architecture designs to meet Cyber Posture requirements such as: Key Management, Logging and Monitoring, Messaging Security, Network Security Protocols, Identity and Access Security, Data at Rest, Data Transit.
  • Deep understanding (15+ years experience) of architecture that meets and/or is built to STIG hardening guidelines application, remediation, and continuous adaptation for compliance frameworks and methodologies not exclusive to but to include: SOC 2, HIPPA/HITECH, PII, PCI DSS, NIST CSF/800/AI RMF frameworks, CMMC L1/L2/3, CSfC, ISO REL/SECREL, DOD SRG, RMF-NIPR/SIPR/JWICS/JSIGS (class and unclassed networks), FISMA, FERPA, SOX, GDPR, OWASP, FedRAMP, StateRAMP, NIST 800-161 (supply-chain security), Joint secure multitenancy’s zero-trust based architectures spanning multi-domains.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's or PhD level degree in CS, Engr, or hard sciences with a focus or minor in AI.
  • Ten or more NVIDIA or other professional technical certifications.

Responsibilities
