About The Position

Supervises activities of Security Services staff providing armed guard support to Arnold AFB. Has overall responsibility for personnel management from hiring, training, evaluating subordinate performance and initiating disciplinary processes when necessary, to maintaining personnel records.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance.
  • Must have a TN state armed guard license.
  • Must be able to maintain authority to carry firearms.
  • Must have 8 years’ experience in military police/security forces or civilian law enforcement agency.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Nice To Haves

  • Law enforcement POST certification.

Responsibilities

  • Assigns work and supervises wage and non-wage personnel performing a variety of armed guard security activities ranging from fixed and mobile posts, to K9 handling operations.
  • Interprets contract and performance work statement (PWS) requirements and develops training, plans, procedures and schedules to ensure compliance with contract performance standards.
  • Communicates with clients, company management and staff to investigate and resolve complaints regarding security services.
  • Requisitions and maintains inventory of supplies, materials and equipment; maintains records of purchases and provides periodic reports on usage to ensure expenditure are within allotted budget.
  • Maintains personnel, time, and leave/holiday records and work schedules; reviews and approves timecards to ensure compliance with timecard and time charging policies and procedures.
  • Performs routine field checks of assigned posts to maintain work performance standards, assess morale, and maintain good order and discipline.
  • Oversees self-inspection program to assess program compliance and reports results to Gov COR.
  • Participates in client no-notice inspections and responds to deficiencies.
  • Evaluates the performance of subordinate staff; counsels, documents, and initiates and participates in the disciplinary process to enforce company policies, procedures, and code of conduct.
  • Coordinates the operation and care of vehicles and equipment.
  • Communicates with staff, clients, vendors, and administrator in person or in writing by preparing and completing a variety of forms, reports, memos and email.
