About The Position

Nazareth Hospital is looking for a Chief Plant Operations Stationary Engineer to join our Plant Operations Team. Acts as liaison between the Director of Plant Operations and the plant operations personnel. As a Chief Operations Plant Stationary Engineer you will: They assist the Director in the monitoring and supervision of the hospital facilities, equipment and staff. Submits work schedules, delegates specific job assignments to engineer personnel as approved by the Director of Plant Operations. Assists Director in orienting new employees and contractors in plant operations functions. Performs maintenance involving inspection, greasing, oiling, adjusting and cleaning on the following: pressure boilers, hot water heating systems, air handling units. Dismantles machinery and equipment to gain access to and the removal of defective parts and repairs and replaces worn or broken parts. Other duties as assigned by director

Requirements

  • High School graduate and/or vocational training
  • City of Philadelphia Class "A" Stationary Engineer License
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in several trades
  • Must be able to interpret blueprints and work from drawings
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in building maintenance techniques
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in the operations of elevators and emergency power generators.
  • Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience and demonstrate supervisory qualities.
