Chief Operations Officer
About The Position
Heartland Credit Union is seeking a strategic and transformational Chief Operations Officer (COO) to help lead the organization's growth, innovation, and operational excellence initiatives. As a key member of the Executive Leadership team, the COO will partner with the CEO to execute the Credit Union's strategic plan, drive digital transformation, enhance member experience, optimize operations, and support market expansion opportunities. This leader will oversee enterprise-wide initiatives involving technology, AI, project management, process improvement, change management and organizational growth while continuing to enhance a high-performance, member-focused culture.
Requirements
- 10+ years of executive leadership experience in credit unions, financial services, banking, fintech, or related industries
- Proven track record in digital transformation
- Proven track record in operational excellence
- Proven track record in systems integration
- Proven track record in strategic planning
- Proven track record in leading large-scale organizational change
- Bachelor's degree required
- Lean certification required
Nice To Haves
- MBA or other advanced degree preferred
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification strongly preferred
- PMP certification strongly preferred
