About The Position

WITCO INC, a mission-driven nonprofit organization serving the needs of people with disabilities, throughout southwest Idaho and eastern Oregon, is seeking a Chief Operations Officer. This executive leadership position leads the organization in providing vital services to our communities. As the face of our organization, the Chief Operations Officer will be responsible for ensuring that all programs are running smoothly and effectively, while also fostering relationships with local stakeholders and partners. The Chief Operations Officer is a senior executive who provides day to day leadership and management to achieve WITCO'S mission, values, priorities, and strategic initiatives. This involves overseeing core programs to ensure the delivery of high-quality services. The Chief Operations Officer is responsible for the management, performance, compliance, and growth of all programs, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and compliance with federal and state regulations. They also evaluate organizational performance and develop strategies for resource utilization. The COO will play a key role in building relationships and partnerships within the community. They work to build coalitions and networks of organizations, businesses and individuals to address issues and promote community engagement. As a service-critical leader, the COO is expected to maintain consistent availability and presence during emergencies and adverse conditions.

Requirements

  • Degree in Public Administration, Community Services, Social Work, or a related field, master's degree preferred
  • Strong organizational leadership and management skills with a track record of success in a similar role.
  • Proven track record of success in strategic planning, program management, and organizational development.
  • Strong background in budget management and financial oversight
  • Strong background in program development and implementation
  • Excellent leadership and project management skills
  • Working knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations for disability rehabilitation programs
  • Demonstrated record of commitment to organizational mission and values
  • Must complete and receive clearance for Criminal History and fingerprinting for Oregon and Idaho.
  • Employment references, and pre-hire drug screen required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the delivery of community services programs, including budgets, staffing and programmatic outcomes
  • Provide supervision and mentorship to program staff
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve organizational goals
  • Develop and manage the annual operating budget for community services programs
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with local government, community organizations, and businesses
  • Represent the organization at public meetings and events, and act as a spokesperson for the organization
  • Identify new opportunities for growth and expansion of community services programs
