About The Position

The Chief Operations Officer (COO) is responsible for the overall management of casino operations, including gaming activities, hospitality services, and related aspects. This role involves developing and implementing strategic plans with the CEO to focus on growth, profitability, and market share. The COO ensures operational efficiency by optimizing processes and resources, and oversees compliance with all relevant regulations and laws. Performance is monitored through key performance indicators (KPIs), with corrective measures implemented as needed. The COO also manages budgets, controls costs, and partners with the CFO on financial reporting. Strategic responsibilities include market research, analysis, new business development, and establishing strategic partnerships. Leadership involves directing senior management, talent development, and effective communication with stakeholders. Additional responsibilities include ensuring internal controls, representing the casino in community and tribal relations, and maintaining excellent customer service.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in casino operations, hospitality, or a related field.
  • Strong leadership skills to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strategic thinking ability to develop and implement long-term strategies.
  • Strong understanding of financial concepts and budgeting.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze data and identify trends.
  • Thorough understanding of casino operations and gaming regulations.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and laws.
  • Ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service and build strong relationships with patrons.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen with negative results (non-safety sensitive positions will not be tested for cannabis).

  • Monitoring market trends, identifying new opportunities, and developing strategies to enhance market share.
  • Exploring new business opportunities, such as new game offerings or expansions.
  • Establishing and managing strategic partnerships with other businesses.
  • Providing leadership and direction to all managers and their teams.
  • Attracting, developing, and retaining talent within the casino organization.
  • Effectively communicating with various stakeholders, including the CEO, other executives, and employees.
  • Ensuring that effective internal controls are in place to safeguard assets and prevent fraud.
  • Representing the casino in community and tribal relations.
  • Ensuring the casino provides excellent customer service and builds strong relationships with patrons.
