About The Position

Workforce Solutions is partnering with an established, family-owned concrete construction company to find a Chief Operating Officer (COO). This leadership role is crucial for overseeing daily operations, supporting project execution, and driving the company's growth. The COO will be responsible for coordinating field and office operations, managing crews and schedules, implementing systems and processes, and ensuring projects are completed on time. This position involves close collaboration with ownership and leadership to enhance efficiency, establish accountability, and promote operational consistency. It's a hands-on role requiring strategic planning and active field involvement, including site visits and crew support. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with a solid understanding of construction operations, capable of developing effective systems and processes, and enjoys working with both office and field personnel.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of construction operations, project management, or senior leadership experience
  • Concrete construction experience highly preferred
  • Candidates from related construction industries will be considered
  • Experience managing crews, schedules, equipment, and project resources
  • Strong understanding of construction project lifecycles, including bidding, estimating, and project execution
  • Proven ability to implement systems, processes, and operational controls
  • Experience monitoring budgets, job costs, project timelines, and performance metrics
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to build relationships across field and office teams
  • Comfortable utilizing technology and software platforms to support operations
  • Willingness to learn company-specific systems and processes
