About The Position

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is the operational, commercial, and systems leader at Boldr, responsible for translating the CEO's vision into day-to-day delivery across five geographies and a workforce of over 1,000 employees. This role involves close partnership with the CEO, CFO, and CRO to turn commercial ambition into operating reality, ensuring the necessary systems, technology, and financial discipline are in place. The COO holds direct ownership of Boldr's operating infrastructure and a share of its financial performance, managing the operating P&L and the systems that run the business. The position sets the operating tempo and ensures all functions work cohesively towards the company's mission.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of senior executive leadership experience, including direct accountability for financial performance and operating systems.
  • Proven experience leading multi-geo operations across different cultures and jurisdictions, ideally including emerging markets.
  • Direct P&L or budget ownership at meaningful scale in a services, tech-enabled services, or high-growth environment.
  • Track record of selecting, implementing, and scaling core operating systems (HRIS, ERP, workforce, or operations platforms) and ensuring adoption.
  • Strong financial acumen, including the ability to read a balance sheet, challenge assumptions, and translate numbers into decisions.
  • Fluency with data, automation, and AI as levers for productivity and margin.
  • Experience working in close partnership with a CEO, CFO, and commercial leadership (CRO or equivalent).
  • A reputation for delivery; results are the primary focus.
  • High EQ, leading through influence and achieving results through others.
  • Broad enough to hold the whole business: commercial, finance, systems, delivery, people, governance.

Responsibilities

  • Own how decisions are made at Boldr, ensuring clarity on decision rights and building an operating cadence for functional alignment.
  • Partner with the CRO to ensure revenue targets are supported by operational and financial reality, understanding key client relationships and pipeline health.
  • Ensure commercial commitments are operationally and technically deliverable before being made.
  • Identify and act on growth opportunities aligned with Boldr's mission, margin, and systems capacity.
  • Own Boldr's operating technology stack, including platforms, tools, and integrations for People, Finance, and Delivery across five geographies.
  • Set the systems roadmap, prioritizing and sequencing implementations for HRIS, workforce, and operations platforms.
  • Build data infrastructure for a trusted view of performance (operational, commercial, financial) for the leadership team.
  • Drive automation and responsible AI adoption to enhance productivity, quality, and margin.
  • Ensure systems readiness for scale, including security, integration, and resilience.
  • Hold direct ownership of the operating P&L and budget, making resource and cost decisions that balance growth with stewardship.
  • Own cost discipline and operating forecasts across operating functions.
  • Partner with the CFO on company-level planning, capital allocation, and reporting.
  • Provide clear financial visibility on operating performance, risks, and outlook to the CEO.
  • Own Boldr's delivery standard through the VP CX, defining 'great' at scale and ensuring client NPS, retention, and service metrics are managed proactively.
  • Act as the executive escalation point for high-stakes client issues and ensure the system learns from escalations.
  • Drive continuous improvement of Boldr's CX practice as a competitive differentiator.
  • Build and maintain the operating infrastructure to support growth across geographies (PH, ZA, MX, CA, US), ensuring process discipline, systems readiness, and accountability frameworks.
  • Identify and resolve structural constraints impacting cross-geo execution.
  • Lead a high-performing senior team, modeling Boldr's values and leading change management effectively.
  • Keep the CEO informed with clear, timely reporting on performance, risks, and material decisions, backed by reliable data.
  • Represent operations at the executive level and ensure regulatory and governance compliance.
  • Maintain the integrity of Boldr's B-Corp certification in operations.
