Chief Operating Officer Kentucky Region
About The Position
The Regional Chief Operating Officer (COO) provides strategic and operational leadership across multiple healthcare facilities within the Kentucky region for Deaconess Health System. This executive leader partners closely with the Region President, hospital leadership, and clinical teams to drive operational excellence, enhance patient care, improve financial performance, and support continued regional growth. The COO is responsible for leading hospital and ambulatory operations, implementing strategic initiatives, improving patient throughput and experience, optimizing operational efficiency, and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field required
- Minimum five years of progressive executive healthcare leadership experience
- Strong operational and financial acumen
- Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Proven ability to lead change and drive performance improvement
- Experience developing high-performing teams and collaborative cultures
- Strong strategic planning and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Nice To Haves
- Experience in hospital operations, strategic planning, physician relations, and multi-site leadership preferred
