Chief of Staff

WeaveSan Francisco, CA
$170,000 - $200,000Hybrid

About The Position

Weave is looking for a Chief of Staff to the CEO. This role has two primary remits: The first is ownership of Weave’s “operating system”. Building and running the necessary structures, processes, and buy-in to ensure Weave’s business runs on data. Clarity of purpose, alignment to company objectives, decision-empowerment, and timely measurement are the key priorities. Data will need to be drawn from many systems and every function, so analytical and technical savvy, and an ability to collaborate effectively are essential. The second is high-impact special projects. No two will be the same, none will come with a playbook, most will be primarily business/operational in nature. Their success will depend on the ability to rapidly understand the need and goal, define success, formulate a practical plan, and execute to conclusion. These will involve Weave’s leadership team and occasionally customers or partners. This role is high leverage and low specification. It is an exceptional opportunity to use analytical wherewithal, creativity, and grit to generate a high impact on a transformative business.

Requirements

  • 7–10 years of professional experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 5–7 years of experience with an MBA.
  • Experience operating in a B2B SaaS environment, ideally at a startup or high-growth company.
  • A demonstrated track record of taking ambiguous problems and turning them into executable plans and measurable outcomes.
  • History of leading cross-functional projects in collaboration with functional leaders and executives.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and operational discipline.
  • Strong business judgement and ability to influence and drive outcomes without relying on formal authority.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; you naturally seek data and evidence when making decisions.
  • A bias toward action and a willingness to get into the details when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Drive execution on company priorities. Turn ambiguous priorities into clear plans, milestones, owners, and next steps. Identify dependencies, surface risks, and remove roadblocks across Product, Engineering, Customer Success, Sales, and Marketing—knowing when to escalate to leadership and when to drive the work yourself.
  • Build and run Weave's operating system. Establish the company's operating cadence, run effective leadership meetings (agendas, prep, follow-through), and maintain visibility into priorities, owners, and milestones. Own company-level planning, goal-setting, and KPI reporting, and design scalable processes for recurring operational problems.
  • Lead special projects. Take on high-impact, cross-functional initiatives—operational, compliance, or organizational—from concept through execution. Coordinate external partners and vendors as needed, and continuously look for ways to make the organization more efficient.
  • Creatively and effectively employ AI. This role will be a central player in effective deployment of AI across Weave’s business operations. AI is an essential tool for success in this role and must be employed with an understanding of its strengths and limitations. It is expected to increase capacity and velocity significantly, but its use cannot impede the ultimate achievement of the necessary business objectives.
  • Increase leadership’s leverage. Prepare executive leadership for key decisions by gathering context and structuring options, so they can stay focused on the company's highest-value priorities, customers, and board relationships.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary ($170,000 - $200,000)
  • Participation in the company bonus plan
  • Equity packages
  • Comprehensive health, dental and vision insurance
  • Generous PTO
  • Parental leave
  • OneMedical
  • TalkSpace
  • Teladoc
  • Career development opportunities
