About The Position

Maven AGI is an enterprise AI platform on a mission to unleash business artificial general intelligence (AGI), starting with customer service. Founded in July 2023 by executives from HubSpot, Google and Stripe, Maven builds conversational AI agents capable of delivering accurate, autonomous support that delights customers at scale. Our platform unifies fragmented systems, integrates knowledge and personalization sources, and enables intelligent actions - all without costly system changes. We’re laying the foundation for a future where our technology handles complex tasks, allowing people to focus on what they do best: creative problem-solving, relationship building, and delivering exceptional customer experiences. We’ve started by reimagining the enterprise customer experience with a support use case. We believe that today’s support experience is broken: slow and painful for customers, and expensive and human capital intensive for companies. We are building Maven to deliver better, cheaper support, for both end users and agents. With recent advancements in Generative AI, it is now possible to deliver delightful customer experiences at a fraction of today’s cost. Maven has assembled a world-class team from Google, Meta, Amazon, and Stripe, and is supported by executives & Advisors from OpenAI, Google, HubSpot, and Stripe. We are hiring a Chief of Staff to the CEO to serve as a strategic partner to our CEO and leadership team as we scale an enterprise AI platform transforming customer support and operations. This role is designed for a highly analytical, execution-oriented leader who thrives at the intersection of strategy, operations, and communication. As Chief of Staff, you will act as a force multiplier for the CEO—driving alignment across the company, owning critical initiatives, and ensuring that Maven AGI executes with speed, clarity, and rigor. You’ll operate across product, go-to-market, engineering, and operations, helping turn company-level priorities into concrete plans and measurable outcomes. This is a high-impact role with broad exposure to company strategy, executive decision-making, and the challenges of scaling an AI-first enterprise business.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in a high-growth startup, management consulting, investment banking, product operations, or a similarly fast-paced environment
Background in venture capital or top-tier management consulting; former VC experience strongly preferred
Deep familiarity with investor processes, including financial modeling, data room construction, and fundraising support
Proven ability to lead and execute change management initiatives in fast-growing organizations
Strong strategic thinker who can translate vision into execution, structure, and results
Excel at cross-functional collaboration and can influence outcomes without formal authority
Thrive in ambiguity and can independently prioritize, execute, and iterate quickly
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and can synthesize complex ideas with clarity
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple high-stakes workstreams at once
Comfortable using data and metrics to drive decisions and measure impact
Led or supported company-wide initiatives involving multiple senior stakeholders
Known for anticipating needs, spotting issues before they escalate, and acting proactively

Responsibilities

Partner closely with the CEO to drive strategic planning, goal-setting, and execution across the company
Own and lead cross-functional, high-priority initiatives—from new product bets to operational improvements
Act as a connective layer between teams, ensuring alignment on priorities, timelines, and outcomes
Prepare executive briefings, internal communications, and decision memos that distill complex topics clearly
Identify gaps, risks, and opportunities early—and proactively drive solutions
Improve operating cadence (OKRs, metrics, exec meetings, planning processes) to help the company scale effectively
Represent the CEO in meetings when appropriate and follow through to ensure decisions turn into action
