About The Position

Level is seeking a strategic, relationship-oriented Chief of Staff, Strategic Operations to serve as a force multiplier for Level's operations leadership and the broader organization. This is an org-wide role sitting at the intersection of business development, cross-functional coordination, and operational execution — ensuring that every external partnership opportunity we evaluate and pursue is handled with rigor, speed, and intentionality. As Chief of Staff, Strategic Operations at Level, you will own the full lifecycle of external partnership activity: fielding inbound and outbound opportunities, conducting due diligence, working with internal teams to assess lift and feasibility, driving alignment on go/no-go decisions, and managing execution on whatever we take on. You are a trusted thought partner, a sharp evaluator, and a skilled operator who is equally comfortable in a strategy conversation and a project status meeting.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a Chief of Staff, business development operations, partnerships, or senior program management role.
  • Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills, with experience managing multiple workstreams and stakeholder groups simultaneously in a fast-moving environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate opportunities with rigor: assessing strategic fit, financial implications, and operational feasibility.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare executive-level materials and represent leadership in external-facing settings.
  • High emotional intelligence, executive presence, and the ability to build trusted relationships both internally and with external partners.
  • Sound judgment and discretion when handling sensitive business information and relationship dynamics.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working within gaming, EdTech, interactive media, or digital entertainment organizations.
  • Background in partnerships, licensing, or business development with exposure to deal structuring or contract negotiation.
  • Familiarity with project management and CRM tools (e.g., Notion, Salesforce, HubSpot, or equivalent).
  • Experience supporting or partnering with a VP or C-suite executive in a high-growth environment.

Responsibilities

  • Field and triage inbound and outbound partnership opportunities on behalf of Level, serving as point of contact for external inquiries.
  • Conduct due diligence on prospective partners: researching organizations, evaluating strategic fit, and synthesizing findings into clear recommendations.
  • Partner with internal teams (Product, Engineering, Publishing, Legal, Finance, and others) to assess the operational and resource lift associated with potential partnership engagements.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment on partnership decisions, facilitating the right conversations and ensuring stakeholders have what they need to weigh in effectively.
  • Represent operations leadership in select meetings, negotiations, and cross-functional forums, exercising sound judgment and serving as a credible proxy.
  • Maintain relationship management for partnership opportunities that are deferred or declined, keeping the door open where appropriate and ensuring no relationship falls through the cracks.
  • Prepare executive-level briefings, one-pagers, and presentations to support partnership conversations and internal alignment.
  • Build and maintain systems and processes that allow the company to evaluate and execute on partnerships efficiently and at scale, including pipeline tracking, evaluation frameworks, and partner communications.
  • Proactively identify operational gaps or bottlenecks within the partnerships workflow and drive improvements.
