We are seeking an exceptional Chief of Staff to serve as a strategic partner to the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) and a key integrator across the HR organization and enterprise. This role acts as a force multiplier, advancing priorities, orchestrating execution, and ensuring the CHRO’s office operates with clarity, impact, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate combines strategic insight, strong analytical thinking, and the executive presence required to represent the CHRO credibly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
  • 7–10+ years of progressive experience supporting or partnering with C-suite executives.
  • Leadership experience in Chief of Staff, HR Business Partner, strategic operations, consulting, or similar roles.
  • Experience supporting or engaging with a Board of Directors.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with ability to simplify complex information.
  • High degree of discretion, professionalism, and judgment.
  • Must be available to provide support outside of standard business hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet the demands of the role.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to interact professionally with executives, staff, and external partners.
  • Proficiency in prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace).

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the CHRO, offering strategic insight, operational oversight, and proactive problem solving.
  • Drive alignment and accountability for HR’s enterprise-wide strategic initiatives, ensuring clear ownership, milestones, and outcomes.
  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional initiatives that support organizational priorities.
  • Support development of recommendations related to people strategy, workforce planning, organizational design, and operational improvements.
  • Prepare executive-level briefing materials, synthesize data, and deliver insights to support timely, well-informed decisions.
  • Represent the CHRO in selected meetings and decision forums.
  • Orchestrate and optimize the CHRO’s schedule to maximize focus on strategic priorities.
  • Oversee preparation of high-quality materials for Board meetings, executive reviews, HRLT sessions, and planning cycles.
  • Serve as primary liaison between the CHRO, executive leadership, HR leaders, and internal/external partners.
  • Plan and execute leadership offsites, executive meetings, and strategic events.
  • Manage confidential matters with professionalism, sound judgment, and discretion.
  • Own the HR operating rhythm, including agendas, OKRs, quarterly reviews, and progress reporting.
  • Maintain governance structures, decision logs, documentation, and systematic follow-up.
  • Draft executive communications, presentations, talking points, and strategic messages for the CHRO.
  • Build trusted, productive relationships across the enterprise to ensure alignment and support change initiatives.
  • Cultivate and leverage a network of industry, policy, and strategic partners.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, enhance processes, and implement tools that increase HR organizational effectiveness.
  • Oversee budget tracking and financial stewardship for HR priorities.
  • Partner with People Analytics, Finance, and Operations to translate data into insights, dashboards, and executive-ready recommendations.
  • Ensure completion and follow-through on commitments tied to HR operations and CHRO priorities.
