About The Position

Pacific Grove Hospital is seeking a Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) in Riverside, CA. This role is a key member of the executive leadership team, accountable for clinical excellence and operational performance. The CNO will drive nursing strategy, quality, and operational excellence, mentor nursing leaders and frontline teams, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, oversee staffing models, budgets, and workforce planning, collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, monitor patient outcomes, and influence executive decisions. The hospital serves adolescents and adults with psychiatric and substance use concerns, providing evidence-based, patient-centered care in a structured and therapeutic environment.

Requirements

Active RN license (California or eligible for reciprocity)
Proven nursing leadership experience (CNO, DON, or equivalent)
Behavioral health nursing experience in an inpatient psychiatric setting
BSN required
6+ years of RN experience
3+ years of progressive nursing leadership
2+ years of inpatient behavioral health RN experience
