About The Position

The Ridge Behavioral Health System, a 110-bed hospital in Lexington, KY, provides comprehensive psychiatric and substance use disorder treatment for children, adolescents, and adults, including Inpatient, Partial Hospitalization, Intensive Outpatient Programs, Individual Counseling, and Medication Management. It is a teaching facility that has served over 92 Kentucky counties for nearly 40 years. The Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) will be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, responsible for integrating and coordinating a patient-centric nursing strategy with a focus on high-quality, cost-effective patient care, consistent with Universal Health Services' mission, vision, and values, and in compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements. The CNO will also contribute to the hospital’s strategic planning and institutional goal achievement. Requirements

  • Current license to practice professional nursing in KY.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a CCNE accredited nursing program.
  • Minimum of 4 years nursing and supervisory/administrative experience.
  • Familiarity with The Joint Commission and other regulatory parties.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of behavioral health nursing clinical practices and management.
  • Ability to plan, direct, and monitor others’ activities with demonstrated leadership abilities that contribute to a positive work environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Master of Science in Nursing strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Integrate and coordinate a patient centric nursing strategy with a keen focus on patient care.
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality and cost-effective health care consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Universal Health Services.
  • Ensure health care delivery is in accordance with government regulation, licensing and accreditation requirements.
  • Participate in the hospital’s strategic planning.
  • Contribute to the achievement of institutional goals and objectives.
