Chief Medical Resident - Medicine
About The Position
The Chief Medical Residents have been selected for their demonstrated excellence in all areas of physician competence. In addition, they are individuals who serve as role models for physicians in training, as premier educators of their junior colleagues, and as extensions of departmental leadership in matters relating to patient care and resident education. Because of their personal and professional characteristics, they are unifonnly relied upon to uphold the standards of internal medicine training while ensuring the personal and general well-being of the resident staff. These individuals, while called "Chief Residents", are Instructors in Medicine and junior faculty at UM- JMH, and report directly to the Program Director and Chair of Medicine.
