About The Position

BIS Safety Software is a SaaS company looking for a Chief Marketing Officer to build the marketing strategy, lead the marketing team, and enhance demand generation. This role owns the entire marketing function, developing and executing strategy across all channels. The primary focus is on demand generation through channels like LinkedIn Ads, YouTube Ads, Google Ads, SEO, AEO, social media, events, and email, with a key performance indicator being qualified lead volume. This is a hands-on, build-it role with significant autonomy, requiring sound reasoning and the ability to deliver on decisions. The position is based in the Edmonton, Alberta office, with no remote or hybrid flexibility.

Requirements

  • Led full-cycle marketing before, with verifiable results - ideally in B2B SaaS - and have repeated that success more than once
  • Know your numbers and can explain exactly how you drove past results
  • Bring contagious energy that gets a team excited and moving behind a clear goal
  • Communicate with clarity and conviction - you can say "here's what I'm going to do and here's why it'll work," and deliver on it
  • Move at pace and see projects through to the finish
  • Work AI-native, building it into how the team operates
  • Proficient with Google Ads, Google Analytics, and HubSpot

Responsibilities

  • Build and own the full marketing strategy, then continuously assess what's working and refine accordingly
  • Grow qualified lead volume - the central outcome this role exists to deliver
  • Design and run individual channel strategies across paid, organic, social, events, and nurture
  • Lead, coach, and align the marketing team so it operates as one cohesive, high-output unit
  • Quality-control everything the team ships - video, written content, templates, and guides
  • Get channels working together rather than in isolation
  • Use AI actively to amplify the team's output and speed
  • Take ownership of the marketing function end to end
