About The Position

America’s Floor Source Group (AFS) is a growing, multi-brand flooring business aiming to reach $500M in revenue. Operating across four brands and seven channels, AFS is seeking a Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to elevate its marketing efforts. This is a growth-focused role, not a turnaround position, requiring a leader to accelerate existing marketing strategies and drive significant revenue growth. The CMO will have full ownership of marketing strategy for Retail, Ecommerce, Direct-to-Consumer (DTC), and Pro channels, which represent key growth opportunities. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CMO will be a key member of the senior leadership team, influencing strategic decisions. This is a hands-on leadership role within an execution-oriented culture, where leaders are expected to be close to the work and treat revenue as a personal responsibility. The ideal candidate will build organizational alignment around the customer, collaborating with sales, operations, and the contact center to ensure a consistent, conversion-focused customer experience across all brands and channels. Influence beyond the marketing department is expected.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in marketing with a performance marketing foundation.
  • Proven ability to drive paid and organic demand at scale.
  • Hands-on operator comfortable leading from the front.
  • Experience scaling an ecommerce channel, understanding conversion drivers and revenue growth.
  • B2C and B2B marketing experience, capable of shifting between consumer and trade/professional audiences.
  • CRM fluency and experience building lifecycle marketing programs for repeat revenue and customer retention.
  • Multi-brand or multi-channel experience.
  • Technology leadership, including leveraging AI, marketing automation, and emerging platforms for performance advantages.
  • Experience driving cross-functional change beyond the marketing organization.
  • Progress-over-perfection mindset, with the ability to move fast, test, learn, and iterate.
  • Strong communication skills, ability to build alignment, and bring people along.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience overseeing or partnering closely with a contact center or inside sales team.
  • Background in retail, home services, home improvement, or building materials.

Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue growth across Retail, Ecommerce, DTC, and Pro channels.
  • Maximize the revenue potential of the existing Ecommerce platform through modernization, conversion optimization, and performance marketing.
  • Partner to launch and scale the new Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) channel.
  • Own the go-to-market strategy for the Pro channel, including messaging, positioning, campaigns, and programs.
  • Build and manage the marketing performance system, including analytics, attribution, and reporting to connect marketing spend to revenue.
  • Ensure brand clarity and consistency across all markets and channels for the four AFS brands.
  • Lead, develop, and elevate the marketing team.
