About The Position

Mission Linen Supply is seeking experienced maintenance technicians with management or supervisory experience who are ready to lead their own facility. This is a fast-track, nine-month training program designed for skilled tradespeople with hands-on technical expertise and some team leadership experience. Upon successful completion, graduates will transition into a Chief Technician position at one of their 25 facilities. The program provides comprehensive training in industrial laundry operations, building upon existing skills with specific coursework and practical experience.

Requirements

  • Hands-on, working experience in Preventative Maintenance (PM) programs and scheduling.
  • Hands-on, working experience in Boiler operation, testing, and maintenance.
  • Hands-on, working experience in Plumbing industrial systems and repair.
  • Hands-on, working experience in Wastewater and Treatment systems.
  • Hands-on, working experience in Welding (MIG, TIG, or industrial fabrication welding).
  • Hands-on, working experience in Hydraulics systems and repair.
  • Hands-on, working experience in Pneumatics systems and repair.
  • Hands-on, working experience in Industrial Electrical systems, including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), schematics, and control panels.
  • Prior experience in a management, supervisory, or team-lead role.
  • Associate's degree or certification in a related industrial or technical field.
  • Strong electrical/mechanical aptitude.
  • Willingness to relocate after training to manage their own facility within the first three years of the program.
  • Must be willing to relocate after training.

Nice To Haves

  • Industry experience is not required.
  • No prior experience in industrial laundry is needed.
  • Military experience welcomed and valued.

Responsibilities

  • Lead maintenance operations of an industrial laundry facility.
  • Manage a team and a plant.
  • Perform preventative maintenance.
  • Operate, test, and maintain boiler systems.
  • Repair industrial plumbing systems.
  • Manage wastewater and treatment systems.
  • Perform MIG, TIG, or industrial fabrication welding.
  • Repair hydraulics systems.
  • Repair pneumatics systems.
  • Work with industrial electrical systems, including PLCs, schematics, and control panels.
  • Participate in industry-specific training for industrial laundry equipment (ironers, folders, press equipment, washers/extractors, tumblers, towel folders).
  • Undergo safety training, including Forklift Certification and Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) procedures.
  • Complete regular progress reports with the learning and development department.
  • Participate in company-sponsored development workshops.
