Under the administrative direction of the IT Director, the Chief Information Security Officer is responsible for establishing and maintaining the enterprise vision, strategy, and program to ensure information assets and technologies are adequately protected. This role oversees the development, implementation, and enforcement of security policies and procedures while managing security-related risks across the organization. This includes cyber threat monitoring, mitigation and response. Beyond policy enforcement, the CISO serves as a key advisor to the Information Technology Director, aligning security initiatives with County Administration goals. The incumbent is responsible for the resilience of county information and ensuring both digital infrastructure and physical assets - such as various computer and network equipment, servers, and storage systems-remain secure. This includes supervising high-level technical projects and ensuring that all departmental staff adhere to strict confidentiality and performance standards required for handling sensitive county data.
