About The Position

The Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) serves as a member of the executive leadership team and is responsible for developing and executing human capital strategies that support PatientCare EMS Solutions’ mission, operational objectives, workforce stability, and long-term growth. The CHRO provides strategic leadership for all Human Resources functions, including talent acquisition, workforce planning, organizational development, employee and labor relations, leadership development, compensation and benefits, HR compliance, employee engagement, performance management, and HR technology systems. This position partners closely with executive and operational leadership to drive organizational effectiveness, strengthen culture, support change initiatives, and ensure the organization attracts, develops, and retains high-performing employees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Organizational Leadership, or a related field.
  • Ten (10) years of progressive Human Resources leadership experience.
  • Five (5) years of executive-level Human Resources leadership experience.
  • Experience supporting multi-site and/or multi-state operations.
  • Experience leading talent management, workforce planning, organizational development, and employee relations initiatives.
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and Human Resources best practices.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in a related field.
  • Professional Human Resources certification (SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or equivalent).
  • Experience in healthcare, EMS, public safety, transportation, or other service-based industries.
  • Experience supporting organizational growth, mergers, acquisitions, integrations, or large-scale change initiatives.
  • Experience working in both union and non-union environments.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and executive leadership team on workforce, organizational, and business matters.
  • Develop and implement Human Resources strategies aligned with organizational goals and growth initiatives.
  • Lead workforce planning, talent acquisition, succession planning, and leadership development efforts.
  • Foster a culture of engagement, accountability, communication, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with operational leadership to support organizational effectiveness and workforce performance.
  • Provide oversight of employee relations, labor relations, investigations, and conflict resolution activities.
  • Support organizational change initiatives, business integrations, and workforce transformation efforts.
  • Oversee compensation, benefits, performance management, and employee development programs.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment and labor laws.
  • Direct HR operations, HRIS administration, payroll oversight, workforce analytics, and reporting.
  • Build and develop a high-performing Human Resources team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
