About The Position

The Institution for Savings is seeking a Chief Human Resource Officer to join the Bank’s executive leadership team to develop and execute a comprehensive people strategy that supports the Bank’s mission, values and long-term growth. This role will oversee all aspects of human resources—including talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation and benefits, leadership development, succession planning, performance management, payroll, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, five or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and goal oriented.
  • Strong organizational skills to perform and prioritize a high volume of tasks simultaneously.
  • Consistently meet deadlines while maintaining excellent attention to context and detail.
  • Ability to embrace a team-oriented culture and work collaboratively across Bank divisions to support strategic growth plans.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze wage and salary report data to determine competitive compensation plan.
  • Prepare personnel forecast to project employment needs and annual personnel budget.
  • Write directives advising department managers of Bank policy regarding equal employment opportunities, compensation and employee benefits.
  • Oversee employee and Board of Trustee payroll processing, benefits enrollment, wellness initiatives, employee scheduling, performance assessment, employee compliance training, new hire, retirement and termination processing.
  • Consult with legal counsel to ensure that policies comply with federal and state law.
  • Develop and maintain a human resources system that meets senior management needs.
  • Oversee the analysis, maintenance, and communication of records required by law or local governing bodies, or other departments in the organization.
  • Conduct recruitment for open positions.
  • Review and determine annual benefit options for Bank employees.
  • Conduct new hire orientations and termination exit interviews.
  • Successfully complete annual regulatory training as required by the Bank and adhere to all applicable banking regulatory requirements for this position.
