About The Position
At Michaud Cooley Erickson (MCE), the Chief Financial Officer joins the executive leadership team and helps shape the company’s financial future. The CFO provides company-wide leadership across finance, accounting, HR, IT, legal, compliance, and risk management, ensuring fiscal discipline, strategic investment, accountability, and strong operational controls. The CFO works directly with the President and serves as a trusted advisor to leadership teams. Because of the collaborative nature of the position, the role requires a full-time, five-day-per-week presence in the office. Requirements
- MBA or bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience.
- Proven success in senior-level management.
- Strong US GAAP expertise and technical financial skills.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency with financial systems, HR tools, and Microsoft Excel.
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship is not available.
Nice To Haves
- CPA or CMA certification is strongly preferred.
- Experience with Deltek Ajera is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic financial leadership and executive guidance.
- Direct accounting operations, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Oversee tax planning, compliance, and audits.
- Manage cash flow, banking relationships, investment strategies, and internal controls.
- Lead risk mitigation efforts across legal, HR, operations, and data security.
- Foster a culture of accountability, mentorship, and continuous improvement.
