The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will oversee the overall financial operations of the acute-care facility, including accounting, budgetary, audits, tax, and other financial planning activities. This role involves working with system management to develop and implement policies, short- and long-range goals, and objectives. The CFO will provide financial leadership to hospital managers, directors, and officers, ensuring active participation in decisions impacting the hospital. Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with financial regulatory requirements, contributing financial expertise to new service planning for profitable revenue, and managing costs by identifying and eliminating non-value costs in collaboration with the CEO and CNO. The role also involves analyzing performance improvement activities, representing the hospital at various meetings (medical staff, board of directors, community), participating in monthly operation reviews and corporate office meetings, and managing administrative aspects of the department, including budgeting, time approvals, staff evaluations, and expense approvals. Regular interaction and presentations to the Board are expected.
