About The Position

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) position ensures the company’s financial stability by leading and providing strategic direction for all financial functions.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in accounting.
  • CPA credential, active or inactive.
  • At least 20 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including at least 15 years within the automotive dealership industry.
  • At least 10 years of senior leadership experience in corporate controller, platform director, regional controller, director of accounting, or comparable roles.
  • Demonstrated responsibility for finance or accounting operations across a large dealership portfolio, with experience supporting at least 25 dealership locations.
  • Experience leading and developing controllers, accounting managers, and geographically distributed teams.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, consolidated financial reporting, technical accounting, internal controls, and external audit management.
  • Hands-on experience with acquisition due diligence, transaction support, and post-acquisition integration.
  • Experience overseeing multi-entity tax matters, cash and treasury management, and real estate or capital project accounting.
  • Public accounting audit experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with operational executives and dealership general managers on financial performance and annual operating plans.
  • Experience implementing accounting process improvements, organizational changes, and consistent policies across multiple locations.
  • Strong executive communication skills, sound business judgment, and the ability to translate financial information into practical business decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees organizational financial guidance in accounting, banking, risk management, acquisitions, growth, cash flow, investments, returns, real estate, leadership, taxes, and tax planning.
  • Creates and maintains financial controls and procedures.
  • Establishes financial strategies by forecasting capital, facilities, resources, and revenue streams.
  • Develops long-term plans for company growth through the acquisition of real estate and additional dealerships.
  • Oversees trust, estate plans, estate planning, asset management, financing, and mortgages.
  • Manages and oversees company cash flow.
  • Monitors company financial performance and assess financial risk.
  • Ensures financial transactions support the overall business strategy and adhere to applicable laws and regulations.
  • Stays up to date on industry news and trends.
  • Assists with other duties as assigned.
  • Follow scheduled hours as needed, defined by your manager.
