We are seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) who is both a strategic financial leader and an executive leader of administrative functions— someone who will help ensure the organization is strong, aligned, and equipped to serve. This role oversees Finance, HR, IT, and Recruiting, providing leadership that strengthens both the financial health and operational effectiveness of the organization. These support functions serve as the infrastructure of Bethesda—systems and resources that enable our mission to move forward. The right leader will bring clarity and structure across these areas, improving alignment, reducing silos, and strengthening accountability. Responsibilities

  • Oversees Finance, HR, IT, and Recruiting.
  • Provides leadership that strengthens both the financial health and operational effectiveness of the organization.
  • Brings clarity and structure across Finance, HR, IT, and Recruiting, improving alignment, reducing silos, and strengthening accountability.
  • Ensures a clean annual audit with no findings.
  • Manages a balanced budget that aligns with organizational priorities and supports responsible stewardship.
  • Maintains strong financial stability, with at least 90 days of operating cash on hand.
  • Delivers clear and timely financial insights within 10 business days with no surprises.
  • Ensures high-performing administrative teams (Finance, HR, IT, Recruiting) achieving 90%+ EOS goals each quarter.
  • Drives improved efficiency across departments, resulting in measurable cost savings and better use of resources.
  • Develops forward-looking financial plans and forecasts that align with strategy and eliminate surprises.
