Requirements

Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Exceptional strategic planning, problem-solving, and project management abilities.
Keen attention to detail that supports data-driven decision-making.
Flexible schedule, may involve occasional evenings and weekends, along with travel within the Council’s service area.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
At least 8 years of relevant experience.
At least 4 years in a leadership capacity.
Audit experience.
Familiarity with managing operating budgets exceeding $5 million.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook.
Strong time management skills.
Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Nice To Haves

CPA preferred.
Nonprofit or fund accounting experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead finance and accounting initiatives, driving strategic decision-making that enhances mission-driven goals.
Oversee all financial operations, from planning and reporting to stewardship that drives long-term organizational health.
Collaborate with the CEO and executive leadership team to develop strategic financial plans.
Serve as the primary staff liaison to the Board’s Finance and Audit Committees.
Ensure sustainable practices that align with the organization's mission.
Maintain the highest standards of integrity and customer-centricity throughout the organization.
