About The Position

Southwest Adventure Tours (SWAT) is an intelligently-growing adventure travel company with influence and control over multiple entities. We operate guided tours, private adventures, multi-day expeditions, national park experiences, receptive tour services, and transportation services throughout the United States with a sprinkling of international work. This is a rare opportunity to join an executive leadership team that is actively scaling through organic growth, acquisitions, technology transformation, operational efficiency initiatives, new tourism products, and geographic expansion. The CFO will be a key member of the Executive Leadership Team and serve as the financial architect of Southwest Adventure Tours' next decade of growth (including several additional entities). This role goes far beyond accounting. The CFO will be responsible for Strategic Financial Leadership, Financial Operations, Business Intelligence & Analytics, Accounting Technology & Automation, Mergers & Acquisitions, and Leadership. Within the first 12 months, success looks like creating executive dashboards, improving forecasting accuracy, increasing profitability, streamlining reporting, developing acquisition evaluation frameworks, improving cash management and capital planning, building stronger financial visibility, and positioning SWAT for significant long-term growth.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience
Experience leading accounting and finance teams
Advanced financial modeling skills
Strong forecasting and budgeting experience
Executive-level communication skills
Experience partnering with CEOs, owners, or boards
