Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field required; CPA preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior executive role.
  • Proven experience helping a rapidly growing company scale revenue and operations, preferably in a multi-location environment.
  • Strong experience building financial infrastructure, controls, reporting processes, and systems to support organizational growth.
  • Demonstrated success in strategic financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and capital allocation.
  • Deep understanding of cash flow management, debt financing, credit utilization, and working capital optimization.
  • Experience preparing and presenting financial reports, forecasts, and recommendations to Boards of Directors and executive leadership teams.
  • Proven ability to identify operational inefficiencies, improve profitability, and negotiate favorable vendor and procurement agreements.
  • Deep understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing finance teams.
  • Adept at analyzing complex financial data and translating findings into actionable business decisions.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence across departments and at the executive level.

  • Prior experience in the in-home improvement, construction, field services, or related industries is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for Corporate Financial Planning and Strategy.
  • Oversees Financial Reporting, Analysis, and Board-Level Financial Presentations.
  • Establishes Budgets, Forecasts, and Long-Term Growth Plans.
  • Develops financial models to support strategic initiatives, including new branch openings, facility expansion, fleet investments, and capital expenditures.
  • Manages Cash Flow, Working Capital, Credit Facilities, and Capital Allocation.
  • Develops and Implements Procurement and Vendor Management Strategies to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Identifies Financial Risks, Inefficiencies, and Profit Leakage within the Business
  • Ensures Compliance with Financial Regulations and Accounting Standards.
  • Monitors and Maintains Accounting and Financial Systems.
  • Develops and Implements Financial Controls, Policies, and Scalable Financial Infrastructure.
  • Leads Financial Team Development and succession planning.
  • Supports Executive Leadership and the Board with data-driven recommendations regarding growth, investments, and financial performance.
  • Produces Accurate Monthly Financial Reports and Dashboards that Provide Visibility into Company Performance and Key Business Metrics.
  • Audit Readiness: Establish Financial Controls, Policies, and Reporting Processes that Ensure the Company Remains Audit-ready and Prepared for lenders, Investors, or Acquisitions.
  • Insurance & Risk Management: Oversee the Company's Insurance Programs and Risk Management Strategies to Protect Assets, Employees, and Profitability
  • Board & Executive Reporting: Deliver Timely Financial Reporting, Forecasts, and Strategic Insights to Support Executive and Board-level Decision Making
  • Banking & Capital Strategy: Manage Banking Relationships, Financing Needs, and Capital Structure to Support the Company's Growth Objectives.
  • Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead budgeting, Forecasting, and Performance analysis to Identify Opportunities, Risks, and Areas for Improvement
  • The CFO should proactively bring: Risks, Opportunities, Cash concerns, Margin concerns
