About The Position
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) serves as the senior executive leader responsible for the overall strategic direction, operational performance, and financial success of Desert Valley Hospital in Victorville, California. The CEO provides visionary leadership while ensuring high-quality, cost-effective patient care and fostering a culture of clinical excellence, accountability, and collaboration. The CEO partners closely with physicians, leadership teams, employees, and community stakeholders to execute organizational objectives, drive sustainable growth, and advance the hospital’s mission within the communities it serves. The role covers overall hospital operations and strategic leadership across patient care, clinical, and clinical support service areas. The position reports to the Corporate Chief Executive Officer. The hospital has 148 beds.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Nursing, Health Administration, Business, or a related field.
- At least five years of progressive responsibility in healthcare administration.
- Proven ability to lead at all levels of management.
- Demonstrated commitment to the community.
- Proficiency in computer operations, including word processing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day hospital operations and provide strategic leadership, planning, development, direction, coordination, and control of activity within patient care, clinical, and clinical support service areas.
- Work collaboratively with leaders and staff to ensure quality patient care is delivered cost-effectively.
- Plan and direct short- and long-range company objectives and goals to meet financial and non-financial goals.
- Ensure alignment between people, processes, and strategies to execute business objectives and goals.
- Attract, train, develop, and retain talent to meet business needs.
- Drive and build revenue growth by developing new business strategies to improve overall performance.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
- Communicate key information to relevant stakeholders.
