The Role Overview As an investor-owned organization, the company is seeking a highly entrepreneurial Chief Executive Officer to provide strategic leadership and guide the organization through its next phase of growth. The CEO will focus on long-term value creation, operational excellence, profitability, and return on investment while scaling the organization and strengthening its market position. The successful candidate must be capable of enhancing operational efficiency and service delivery while simultaneously driving large-scale expansion and organizational growth. The ideal candidate will have deep CEO and/or C-level operational experience, with a proven history of full P&L responsibility for at least $10 million.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Healthcare Management, or a related field required.
  • 15+ years of senior leadership experience, preferably within healthcare or healthcare-related services; prior CEO experience is a strong plus.
  • Proven growth-oriented leadership experience, building and scaling organizations while increasing both revenue and EBITDA.
  • Demonstrated full P&L responsibility of at least $10 million.
  • In-depth understanding of healthcare regulations and payer-provider dynamics.
  • Demonstrated success driving efficiency, growth, and customer satisfaction in high-growth or fast-paced environments.
  • Strong financial acumen and strategic mindset, with the ability to build a roadmap for large-scale, profitable expansion.
  • Strategic thinker capable of anticipating market trends, competitive dynamics, and client needs.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
  • Experience with in-network and out-of-network reimbursement models is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Define and implement the company’s strategic vision, driving sustainable growth and a strong market leadership position.
  • Lead market analysis, competitive assessments, and identification of emerging strategic opportunities within the healthcare sector.
  • Anticipate industry changes and regulatory developments, proactively adapting strategies to maintain or create a competitive advantage.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational efficiency, accuracy, and client satisfaction.
  • Leverage technology and data analytics to optimize performance metrics and enhance service delivery.
  • Establish, monitor, and utilize performance metrics and KPIs to track organizational performance and operational excellence.
  • Direct the company’s financial strategy and health, including budgeting, forecasting, revenue growth, cost control, and profitability enhancement.
  • Identify and develop new revenue streams and service offerings to expand market reach.
  • Ensure sound financial practices and stewardship of company resources.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare clients, providers, payers, and strategic partners.
  • Serve as the external face of the organization, positioning the company as a trusted leader and expert in behavioral healthcare services.
  • Lead business development initiatives, including client acquisition, retention, and market expansion.
  • Ensure full compliance with healthcare regulations (HIPAA, Joint Commission, CMS guidelines, etc.), maintaining the highest standards of ethical conduct.
  • Implement effective risk management practices to safeguard the company’s operations and reputation.
  • Inspire and cultivate a high-performance culture rooted in accountability, collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
  • Champion a patient-first culture, ensuring that strategic decisions, operational priorities, and organizational initiatives consistently enhance the quality of care and patient experience.
  • Develop and mentor executive and leadership teams, ensuring strong succession planning and talent retention.
  • Create a culture that fosters high levels of continuous engagement.
  • Lead and manage a growing team of 70+ employees.
