About The Position
Siembra Leadership High School—New Mexico’s first entrepreneurship-focused charter high school—is seeking a visionary CEO/Superintendent to lead its next phase of growth and impact. This executive role oversees a 66-person team and a $12M+ budget, driving strategy, innovation, and organizational excellence in a fast-growing, mission-driven environment. The Chief Executive Officer/Superintendent reports to the school’s Governing Board.
Requirements
- 3+ years of educational leadership experience
- Professional New Mexico 3B administrative educational licensure (or ability to obtain)
- Knowledge of charter school operations and compliance
- Experience managing teams, budgets, and complex organizations
- Strong relationship-building and strategic leadership skills
- Deep commitment to equity and non-traditional (“at-promise”) students
Nice To Haves
- Experience in charter school growth, fundraising, or entrepreneurship education
Responsibilities
- Lead organizational vision, strategy, and growth
- Serve as the public face of the school
- Build partnerships with key stakeholders, including New Mexico Public Education Department and Albuquerque Public Schools
- Oversee fundraising, grants, and legislative advocacy
- Ensure strong governance, compliance, and financial oversight
- Lead and align senior leadership team
