About The Position

At Zantech, we are a dynamic Woman Owned Small Business focused on providing complex, mission-focused solutions with a proven track record of outstanding customer performance and high employee satisfaction. Zantech is looking for a talented Chief Enterprise Architect to contribute to the success of our upcoming Technical Infrastructure and Platform Support project for an On-Site role based out of Arlington, VA. The Chief Enterprise Architect will play a crucial role in providing Data Acquisition, Analytics, and Governance Services (data ecosystem design and integration), Technical Infrastructure and Platform Support (cloud architecture, scalability), PMP Technical Roadmap and Future-Proofing & Tech Horizon Parity Plan (architectural input), and Cybersecurity and Information Assurance (Zero Trust Architecture alignment). The Chief Enterprise Architect serves as the ultimate technical authority for the design, scalability, and integration of the entire data and analytics ecosystem (the Data and Analytics Portal), ensuring the architecture meets all requirements and supports the modular, open-architecture Future-Proofing & Tech Horizon Parity Plan required in the PMP.

Requirements

  • Ten (10)+ years designing scalable, secure, resilient enterprise-level systems, including at least 5 years focused specifically on data-intensive solutions in a cloud environment
  • 5 years hands-on data modeling experience (logical and physical models)
  • Enterprise/solution architecture for cloud-based data and analytics platforms
  • Data modeling (logical and physical) and ETL/ELT integration architecture
  • OLAP and OLTP system design
  • Formal architecture documentation (system views, technical roadmaps) for a complex data ecosystem
  • DoD Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) alignment
  • MA/MS degree and 10+ years of experience (Senior/Lead tier)
  • BA/BS with 12+ years of experience is an accepted substitute
  • US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret or higher clearance, per contract requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field
  • Professional-level cloud architect certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert)
  • TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture certification

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end architecture for the D&A ecosystem, including scalability and integration decisions
  • Lead ETL/ELT and OLAP/OLTP system design across legacy and modernized components
  • Create and maintain formal architecture documentation (system views, technical roadmaps)
  • Guide modular, loosely coupled, open-architecture design to prevent vendor lock-in (PWS Section 9.0)
  • Support Zero Trust and FedRAMP High / DoD IL5-compliant architecture decisions
