About The Position

BlueWater Federal is looking for a Chief Enterprise Architect (Business Intelligence) to support the DOE EHSS Application, Infrastructure, and Cybersecurity Support (AICS) program. AICS enables secure, reliable, and data-driven operations across the DOE enterprise through application modernization, DevSecOps, Zero Trust implementation, continuous monitoring, and infrastructure sustainment supporting EHSS’s environment, health, safety, security, and classification missions. This is a hybrid role with potential support of multiple DOE sites in the DC metro area.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related field. 6 years of experience can be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree (included as part of the experience requirement, not additional).
Minimum 10 years of data architecture, BI development, or BI management experience.
Must have an active Q clearance, Top Secret clearance or a Q within the last 6 months.
Enterprise data warehouse, data lake, BI, ETL, metadata, high-volume processing, data modeling, and governance experience.
Dashboard, visualization, predictive analytics, real-time reporting, and ML/AI experience.
Experience integrating data security/authentication and web accessibility requirements.

Nice To Haves

TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead enterprise application, data, BI, integration, and information-management architecture aligned with DOE/EHSS requirements.
Design data warehouse, data lake, ETL, data models, metadata, governance, dashboard, predictive analytics, real-time reporting, ML, and AI solutions.
Coordinate architecture decisions with program managers, developers, database staff, data teams, cybersecurity personnel, EITS, and cloud providers.
Diagnose architecture and BI operational issues and guide secure, accessible, interoperable solution designs.
Lead software lifecycle practices including automated testing, documentation, version control, and change, release, and configuration management.
Prepare or review architecture, requirements, design, risk, labor-estimate, technical-proposal, test, release, operations, and transition artifacts.
