The Chief Engineer is responsible for supervising maintenance operations for the hotel, ensuring all projects are completed on time and according to specifications. This role involves working closely with other departments, instructing craftsmen, and meeting with architects and contractors. The Chief Engineer also develops and maintains a preventive maintenance program, upholds quality guest service standards, and contributes to departmental profitability and the annual hotel budget. A key aspect of this role is enhancing guest satisfaction through employee development and effective problem resolution. The position requires strong communication skills, the ability to prepare reports and presentations, and adherence to all company and hotel policies. Participation in the Executive committee is also a part of this role.
