About The Position

We are seeking a hands-on Chief Engineer who takes pride in their work and is ready to take ownership of the hotel's maintenance, appearance, and overall functionality. This role is critical to improving the condition of the property, addressing ongoing maintenance needs, and ensuring our guests and team members enjoy a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment every day.

Requirements

Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently
Leadership experience and ability to manage a team
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed
On-call availability for emergencies
Reliable transportation and strong attendance

Previous hotel maintenance or Chief Engineer experience preferred

Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of hotel maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance programs
Lead and manage the engineering/maintenance team (if applicable)
Ensure the building, guest rooms, and public areas are in excellent condition
Maintain all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
Develop and execute preventative maintenance schedules
Respond to and resolve maintenance requests in a timely manner
Manage vendor relationships and coordinate contracted services
Maintain compliance with safety regulations, fire codes, and brand standards
Track maintenance expenses and operate within budget guidelines
Assist with property improvement plans (PIPs) and capital projects as needed
