Requirements

Comprehensive knowledge of hotel maintenance operations and systems.
In-depth understanding of applicable federal, state, and local health, safety, and legal regulations.
Strong mathematical and computer skills, including proficiency with relevant software.
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school or relevant training preferred.
Must be able to obtain required licenses or certifications in a timely manner.
CPR certification required.

Nice To Haves

HVAC EPA certification is a plus.
Additional education is a plus.
First aid certification preferred.
Additional language proficiency is a plus.
Occasional travel may be required.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate maintenance operations across the hotel, including refrigeration, heating, plumbing, water treatment, preventative maintenance, guest rooms, HVAC systems, ice machines, swimming pools, lighting, kitchen equipment, emergency generators, water softeners, roof exhausts, and electrical substations.
Lead, manage, and develop a team of maintenance associates, including recruitment, training, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
Ensure all maintenance projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination and efficient execution of tasks.
Manage scheduling, material ordering, and task completion for various maintenance projects.
Coordinate with architects, contractors, and construction supervisors regarding new construction and renovation projects.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive preventive maintenance program.
Strive to meet and exceed budgeted revenue and expense goals while maximizing profitability.
Support the preparation and execution of the annual hotel budget.
Enhance guest satisfaction by ensuring that all maintenance tasks and upgrades are carried out to the highest standards.
Respond to and resolve guest requests, complaints, or concerns promptly and professionally.
Actively participate in the Executive Committee, contributing insights and attending weekly or monthly meetings.
Utilize office and accounting software to ensure accurate reporting and tracking.
Communicate effectively with guests, associates, and vendors in English, both orally and in writing.
Assist in the preparation of statistical reports and presentations as needed.
Ensure accurate reporting of information and compliance with all StepStone Hospitality policies and procedures.
Attend required meetings and maintain professional conduct at all times.
Consistently complete tasks thoroughly and professionally, demonstrating attention to detail.
