Position Summary:
Join our dynamic team at the Bostonian Hotel as a Chief Engineer! If you're passionate about overseeing engineering operations and ensuring the seamless functionality of our hotel infrastructure, this exciting role is for you. You will lead a dedicated team in maintaining all mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems while fostering an environment of safety and excellence.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Chief Engineer or in a similar role within the hospitality or facilities management sector.
• Strong knowledge of CAPEX, HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and relevant maintenance practices.
• Exceptional leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with other departments and external vendors.
• Technical proficiency in CMMS and/ or other maintenance management software.
• Solid understanding of safety regulations and protocols pertinent to building management.
• Ability to work flexibly, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed to support hotel operations.

Nice To Haves

• A degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, inspire, and manage the Engineering team to uphold the highest standards of maintenance and repair for all hotel mechanical and electrical systems.
• Supervise the implementation of preventative and predictive maintenance programs to ensure optimal performance and longevity of all equipment.
• Oversee facility operations, including renovation projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget constraints.
• Collaborate directly with other departments to address any maintenance needs and improve overall guest experience.
• Maintain compliance with all safety and regulatory standards while creating a safe working environment for all staff.
• Conduct regular inspections and perform in-depth technical assessments to preemptively identify areas for improvement.
• Manage vendor relationships for outsourced services, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
• Analyze equipment performance metrics, reporting trends, and suggesting strategic priorities.
• Lead training initiatives to elevate the technical skills and safety awareness of the engineering staff.
