Requirements

Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
10+ years of experience in algorithm design and testing in EV industry or equivalent experience
Expert in the theory and principle of AC electric machine drive and three-phase switching power converter topologies
Experience with steering system, air-compressor system
Fluency in using Matlab/Simulink, modeling and simulation of electric drives
Strong hands-on experience in high voltage/power/speed laboratory/vehicle environment as well as vehicle ECU interfaces and tools

Responsibilities

Develop, improve and calibrate the motor control algorithms for the traction motor system, steering actuator system, and air-compressor system, as well as other high-voltage actuator systems
Develop and improve the vehicle level controls features of the supervisory controls for the electrified powertrain components
Lead the development for the technical requirement definition of advanced motor controls and cross-functional vehicle level features, as well as responsible for the regulatory specifications for commercial vehicles in north American market
Work with cross-functional teams on electric drive and vehicle bring-up activities
Develop hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) test cases for controls and software development for the eDrive system
Plan and perform algorithm testing in dynamometer, and vehicle test environment
Stays abreast of new technologies and competitive methods and products
Submit patents and trade secrets to advance ENC Intellectual Property portfolio in the field of drive controls
