About The Position

Evinova is a global AI-powered health tech business focused on transforming and accelerating clinical development. Their AI-native platform covers the entire clinical development lifecycle. This role serves as an executive liaison between Evinova and AstraZeneca, fostering collaboration, innovation, change management, and the strategic alignment of digital and AI solutions within AstraZeneca's clinical development processes. The position reports to the President of Evinova and is part of the Evinova Leadership Team, with ultimate responsibility for the partnership's depth, quality, and strategic impact, ensuring digital health and AI goals are met through strategy, adoption, roadmap alignment, and coordinated innovation across Evinova.

Requirements

• 15+ years of progressive experience in clinical development within Pharma.
• Deep experience managing complex, multi-year enterprise relationships with large pharmaceutical organizations at the most senior levels, including C-suite and VP engagement, governance, and contract oversight.
• Proven track record of leading digital and AI transformation programs within or in partnership with large pharma or life sciences organizations, with measurable outcomes in adoption, process change, and business value.
• Strong understanding of clinical development processes, eClinical technologies, and the regulatory landscape (GCP, ICH E6, 21 CFR Part 11, EU Annex 11) as they relate to digital and AI-enabled solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional internal teams—including product, delivery, commercial, and customer success—to deliver against complex enterprise customer commitments and milestones.
• Experience designing and delivering training and enablement strategies at scale within large, matrixed organizations.
• Exceptional executive presence and communication skills: able to operate with equal credibility at board level and with operational working teams; skilled at translating complex technical and AI topics for non-technical audiences.
• Strong commercial competence: experience with enterprise contract structures, strategic account planning, and value realization frameworks.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, global, matrixed environment; adept at building relationships and driving outcomes across geographies, cultures, and time zones.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).

• Experience with AI-powered clinical development platforms, including protocol design, patient recruitment optimization, risk-based monitoring, or regulatory intelligence tools.
• Formal qualification or significant experience in change management, organizational transformation, or enterprise program management.
• Experience in Clinical Development at Scale in multiple therapeutic areas.
• Familiarity with AI governance, responsible AI frameworks, and their application within regulated pharmaceutical environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic digital and AI partnership with AstraZeneca, acting as the primary executive contact and ensuring Evinova's solutions are integrated into clinical development strategy, portfolio decisions, and key programs.
• Co-create and maintain a multi-year digital and AI roadmap and joint scorecard, managing quarterly governance with senior AstraZeneca R&D leaders.
• Shape strategic planning cycles to identify new innovation opportunities, emerging use cases, and areas where AI can accelerate study timelines, improve data quality, and enhance regulatory readiness.
• Represent AstraZeneca's strategic priorities internally within Evinova, providing clear direction to product, delivery, commercial, science, and innovation teams.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with AstraZeneca's executive collaborators, including C-suite leaders, VPs in Clinical Development and Operations, COOs, and Heads of Regulatory and IT.
• Chair or co-chair senior governance forums, steering committees, and executive business reviews to ensure alignment, resolve issues, and maintain milestone accountability.
• Proactively manage executive-level risks and issues, leading the resolution of high-priority partner concerns with speed and transparency.
• Represent Evinova at AstraZeneca internal conferences, digital health forums, and executive off-sites, positioning the partnership as a benchmark for clinical AI and digital health collaboration.
• Drive innovation at the intersection of digital health and AI by identifying, scoping, and delivering joint initiatives in areas such as AI-assisted document authoring, predictive analytics for study design, and decentralized trial enablement.
• Partner with Evinova's Chief Product Officer and technology leaders to align the product roadmap with AstraZeneca's unmet needs and strategic priorities, ensuring investments deliver measurable value.
• Lead proof-of-concept programs to translate AI innovation into scalable, validated clinical solutions deployed across global study portfolios.
• Stay informed about industry trends in AI, regulation, and clinical technology, bringing external insights to both Evinova's leadership and AstraZeneca's strategic planning.
• Design and operate an executive communication framework to provide clear visibility of program status, milestones, risks, and outcomes across AstraZeneca's leadership.
• Build dashboards, scorecards, and strategic briefings for real-time insight into Evinova-enabled programs.
• Serve as editorial authority for all AstraZeneca-facing communications from Evinova, ensuring accuracy, alignment, and tailored messaging.
• Coordinate with marketing and communications to amplify partnership successes and joint innovation stories in external forums.
• Oversee the strategic coordination of training and enablement programs for AstraZeneca partners across clinical, IT, data, and regulatory functions.
• Partner with Customer Success, Professional Services, and Product teams to design structured learning pathways and capability-building programs.
• Identify and nurture digital and AI champions within AstraZeneca to advocate for Evinova adoption.
• Track training coverage, proficiency, and adoption metrics to refine enablement strategies and accelerate time-to-value.
• Act as an internal orchestrator across Evinova's delivery, product, commercial, regulatory, and customer success functions to ensure aligned workstreams that meet AstraZeneca's program milestones.
• Own the master program plan for AstraZeneca, integrating timelines, dependencies, and accountabilities for a coordinated customer experience.
• Promote a culture of proactive issue identification and cross-functional problem-solving to ensure risks are surfaced and resolved quickly.
• Establish joint operating rhythms, including program reviews, planning sessions, and escalation protocols.
• Provide organizational leadership by building, leading, and inspiring a high-performing enterprise partnership team of approximately 30 specialists.
• Define the capabilities, skills, and operating model for a world-class enterprise partnership function, including recruitment and development.
• Set OKRs, KPIs, and performance governance for the function, reporting on partnership health to the Evinova Leadership Team and President.
• Contribute to company-wide strategy, culture, and performance, championing innovation, training, and transformation within AstraZeneca.
