About The Position

The Chief Critical Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for supporting 100% uptime for DataBank’s data center and its customers. The role supports customer integration and implementation, helps ensure solutions are implemented correctly and on time, and oversees technical aspects of facility operations, including power and HVAC systems. It also drives organizational processes and procedures, develops and reviews MOPs and SOPs, prepares facility presentations, and produces monthly reports and metrics. The position handles facility issues encountered during day-to-day operations to help ensure continuous facility uptime.

Requirements

• Seven or more years of facility operations and management experience in the data center industry.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong skills in presentation and proposal design.
• Strong knowledge of general industry technologies and systems, including UPS, generators, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to multitask and meet multiple deadlines.
• Strong supervisory responsibilities are required.
• Familiarity with field concepts, practices, codes, standards, and procedures, including environmental and safety regulations, ISO 9000 quality assurance standards, ISO 14000 environmental standards, and OHSAS 18000 health and safety standards.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or equivalent training, education, and experience.
• Data center industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive processes and procedures in the organization.
• Develop and review MOPs and SOPs.
• Ensure correct and timely implementation of solutions for customer applications, including preparation of space, power, and network.
• Prepare and present technical presentations on the facility.
• Oversee technical aspects of facility operations, including power and HVAC systems.
• Prepare monthly reporting and metrics.
• Provide technical support to ensure successful customer integration and implementation of company solutions.
• Handle facility issues encountered during day-to-day operations to ensure 100% uptime for facility operations.
