Requirements

Bachelor's degree required.
8+ years of managerial experience, preferably in compliance, risk management, auditing, governance, or a related field.
Comprehensive knowledge of compliance programs, regulatory requirements, internal controls, auditing, and risk management practices.
High Energy, Dedicated and willing to work hard.
Strong understanding of applicable industry-specific and location-specific laws and regulations.
Proven experience developing and implementing compliance policies, procedures, testing programs, and controls.
Ability to evaluate regulatory changes and translate them into practical updates to compliance processes.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience engaging and educating stakeholders at all levels.
Demonstrated ability to manage a departmental function and develop strategies that support broader corporate objectives.
Experience partnering with senior leadership and reporting on compliance activities, risks, and recommendations.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership and direction for the organization's compliance programs, policies, reporting, and practices.
Ensure organizational activities comply with regulatory requirements, governance standards, and applicable industry- and location-specific laws.
Oversee internal controls and auditing systems that monitor and report on regulated activities and processes.
Develop and oversee risk-based compliance testing to identify, detect, and correct noncompliance.
Evaluate and implement changes to compliance processes in response to new or amended regulations.
Establish communication and training initiatives to educate stakeholders on compliance requirements.
Develop major goals and strategies that support broader organizational and functional objectives.
Approve compliance policies and processes developed across various sub-functions and departments.
Manage the compliance function within the broader corporate organization and provide strategic direction to the team.
