About The Position

At Beyond Sports, we create experiences sports fans can't live without. As part of Sony's Sports Technology businesses, we sit at the forefront of digital fan engagement, building unparalleled experiences for sports enthusiasts worldwide, from virtualised broadcasts with the NFL to reimagined match experiences with the Premier League. This is a high-impact executive role owning the global commercial roadmap for Beyond Sports and the integration of our fan engagement technology into the wider Sony Sports ecosystem. You'll grow a portfolio that already includes some of the most prestigious properties in world sport, while architecting our entry into emerging markets including the US and MEA. As a strategic partner to the Managing Director, you'll bridge the gap between board-level vision and organisational execution, and work alongside leaders across Sony Sports Technology, including Hawk-Eye Innovations, to bring differentiated products to the sports digital market. The role involves international travel and a genuine opportunity to shape the future of sports technology and fan engagement at global scale.

Requirements

  • Significant experience in senior commercial leadership within sports technology or digital media.
  • Deep expertise in the US and MEA markets, with a proven ability to lead teams across cultures.
  • The range to move between boardroom strategy and the tactical execution needed to close a marquee deal.
  • A robust international network across major leagues, clubs, and governing bodies.
  • Expertise in complex, enterprise-level contract negotiation across the full sales cycle.

Responsibilities

  • Own and implement a multi-year global business development strategy aligned with Sony's Sports Technology businesses.
  • Direct our entry and scaling strategies in the US and MEA, adapting commercial models to complex international market dynamics.
  • Act as the primary commercial liaison to Sony Sports group companies, developing differentiated, cross-Sony product offerings.
  • Lead the closing of multi-million dollar, complex international agreements with Tier-1 sports entities.
  • Evolve our approach to RFPs, competitive tenders, and procurement to sustain a world-class win rate.
  • Partner with the Head of Partnerships to ensure new business wins translate into long-term partner success and sustainable revenue growth.
  • Lead and mentor the Business Development team, building a culture of accountability and a pipeline of future commercial leaders.
  • Shape the product roadmap with market intelligence and feedback from global sports leaders.
  • Establish executive-level KPIs and adopt advanced technology to optimise the full sales lifecycle.
