This job is responsible for reviewing valuation products including appraisals, Broker Price Opinions, and Property Condition reports for accuracy, credibility, reasonableness, and compliance with applicable investor/insurer/guarantor appraisal requirements or Engagement Letter instructions. Key Responsibilities include responding to audits, assisting internal sales, fulfillment, or operations clients, vendors, panel appraisers, and other team members independently. Job expectations include having five or more years of experience in the real estate appraisal industry and maintaining a valid Appraisal license. Coverage responsibilities include research into appraisal issues related to compliance with USPAP, Federal, State, and Bank policies and/or contractual requirements. Research and timely response to customer or vendor complaints, audit issues, escalated reviews including complex and high dollar properties and special projects.

Requirements

  • 5 Years or more of experience in the Real Estate Appraiser industry
  • Must have and maintain a Real Estate Appraisal License

Responsibilities

  • Completes appraisal and valuation product reviews independently demonstrating professional skill and competence in adherence to applicable regulatory guidelines
  • Provides supporting documentation and analysis supporting valuation review conclusions
  • Demonstrates the highest professional competence in written and verbal communications with appraisers, vendors, managers, and the lines of business seeking mitigation of appraisal defects while staying within the parameters of Appraisal Independence requirements
  • Demonstrate an ability to solve complex and vexing valuation issues independently with adherence to policy and procedures
  • Maintains appraisal license(s) by completing necessary continuing education requirements
  • Research escalated concerns regarding Provider performance for compliance with USPAP, Federal, State, Bank and/or Investor requirements
