About The Position

Ochsner Health is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Chest Radiologist to join their Radiology department. Ochsner Health is an integrated healthcare system with a significant presence across Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and the Gulf South, boasting over 36,000 employees and 4,600 affiliated physicians. The Department of Radiology provides a comprehensive range of services utilizing advanced technology and radiology-guided therapies. As a leading radiologic academic center in the Gulf South, Ochsner supports research, including innovation with AI and Natural Language Processing, and utilizes a unified PACs and RIS system for data mining. The Cardiothoracic Radiology Section has strong collaborations with Pulmonary Medicine, Thoracic Surgery, the Cancer Service Line, and Cardiology, and is involved in a Lung Screening program and a Congenital Heart Surgical program. Remote reading and flexible work opportunities, including options for no call or weekends at some locations, are available. The department also supports a Radiology residency program at Ochsner Medical Center – New Orleans.

Requirements

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible Chest Radiologist
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
  • Must be able to obtain a Louisiana medical license.
  • Must be able to obtain Ochsner and/or other appropriate hospital credentials.

  • Experience in Cardiothoracic Radiology.
  • Experience with AI and Natural Language Processing in radiology.

Responsibilities

  • Provide diagnostic and treatment procedures using advanced technology.
  • Engage in research, including innovation with AI and Natural Language Processing.
  • Collaborate with Pulmonary Medicine, Thoracic Surgery, the Cancer Service Line, and Cardiology.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary conferences.
  • Support the Lung Screening program.
  • Contribute to the Congenital Heart Surgical program in partnership with Pediatric Radiology.
  • Involvement in the Interventional Cardiology program for TAVR.
  • Potentially teach within the Radiology residency program.
