Chest Radiologist - Section Head
About The Position
Ochsner Health is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Chest Radiologist to serve as Section Head for their Radiology department. Ochsner Health is a large, integrated healthcare system with a significant presence across the Gulf South, offering a wide range of medical specialties and services. The Department of Radiology is known for its subspecialized radiologists, advanced technology, and commitment to research and innovation, including AI and Natural Language Processing. The Cardiothoracic Radiology Section collaborates closely with other departments, runs a Lung Screening program, and is involved in congenital heart surgery and interventional cardiology programs. The role offers remote reading opportunities and flexible work arrangements, including options for no call or weekends at certain locations. The department also supports a radiology residency program.
Requirements
- Board Certified/Board Eligible Chest Radiologist.
- Must be able to work with a PAC's and RIS system for data mining.
- Must be able to utilize the EPIC medical record platform.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in AI and Natural Language Processing.
- Experience in teaching, research, physician leadership, or community service.
Responsibilities
- Serve as Section Head for the Cardiothoracic Radiology Section.
- Provide a full spectrum of radiological services.
- Utilize advanced technology and radiology-guided therapies.
- Support pre-clinical and clinical research, including innovation with AI and Natural Language Processing.
- Collaborate with Pulmonary Medicine, Thoracic Surgery, the Cancer Service Line, and Cardiology.
- Participate in multidisciplinary conferences.
- Contribute to the Lung Screening program.
- Partner with Pediatric Radiology for the Congenital Heart Surgical program.
- Support the Interventional Cardiology program for TAVR.
- Potentially teach in the Radiology residency program.
