About The Position
We are seeking enthusiastic Chess Instructors to lead after-school chess programs for students in grades 3-8. This role involves teaching chess fundamentals and strategies in a fun and engaging environment. Classes are held on Wednesdays from 3:15 pm to 4:15 pm, starting from September 2nd, at our Miami, FL location.
Requirements
- Proficiency in chess, including rules, strategies, and tactics.
- Experience working with children or in an educational setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Ability to manage a classroom of students.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience teaching chess.
- Knowledge of different chess openings and endgames.
- Experience with curriculum development.
Responsibilities
- Teach chess lessons to students in grades 3-8.
- Develop and implement engaging chess activities.
- Manage classroom behavior and ensure a positive learning environment.
- Communicate with program coordinators regarding student progress and any issues.
