About The Position

Keep our communities fed. Our focus is simple but meaningful, from our distribution centers to our offices — every employee of C&S and their family of companies works to help feed local families, neighbors, and community support to ensure efficient operation of all warehousing functions involving. As a Forklift Operator, you will use a forklift to transport merchandise to, from, and within the warehouse to put away, drop down, and rotate full pallets of stock through the warehouse inventory reserve racks using a stand-up forklift.

Requirements

2+ consecutive years’ experience operating Cherry Picker, High-Lo, Lift experience
At least six months of warehouse experience
Electric Pallet Jack experience preferred
Strong planning and execution skills
Ability to work with and through others to achieve desired results
Strong team orientation and collaboration to work effectively in a team environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with people at all levels in the organization
Ability and willingness to follow all safety policies and procedures

Responsibilities

Preparing documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders to route products
Recording shipping data, such as weight, charges, space availability, and damages and discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, and record keeping purposes
Conferring and corresponding with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damage and non-conformance to specifications
Occasional safe lifting of varying case weight, shape, and height levels
