About The Position

Temp Connect Staffing is hiring a Certified Cherry Picker Operator for a logistics and distribution center in Jurupa Valley, CA. This is a temp-to-hire position paying $17.50/hr on a Monday–Friday day shift. You will operate an order picker (cherry picker) to pull high-volume orders at a rate of 75–100 pieces per hour, scan and track orders using an RF scanner, and stage finished picks throughout the facility. This role offers a consistent weekday schedule with overtime and weekend availability as needed.

Requirements

Valid cherry picker (order picker) forklift certification.
1+ year of cherry picker or order picker operation experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently throughout the shift.
Ability to work at a very fast pace and meet hourly order-picking quotas.
Steel toe boots required (employee-provided).
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Must pass a background check.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (E-Verify).

Nice To Haves

2+ years of cherry picker or high-reach order picker experience.
Experience operating reach trucks or sit-down counterbalance forklifts.
Familiarity with RF scanning systems and warehouse management systems (WMS).
Prior work in a high-volume distribution center or fulfillment center with productivity quotas.
Experience staging, palletizing, or stacking product to load-ready standards.

Responsibilities

Operate a cherry picker (order picker) forklift to pull orders at a pace of 75–100 pieces per hour throughout the distribution center.
Scan and track each order using an RF scanner to maintain inventory accuracy.
Stage and stack picked products according to warehouse procedures and account-specific requirements.
Follow all facility safety procedures and guidelines while operating powered industrial equipment.
Inspect equipment before each shift and report any mechanical issues to a supervisor.
