About The Position

Nebraska Furniture Mart is hiring a part-time Cherry Picker/Reach Truck Operator to safely handle and transport products within its warehouse. The role involves using scan equipment and warehouse machinery to locate, pick, bin, cycle, and return products to the appropriate areas. The operator monitors daily progress, reports discrepancies and potential roadblocks to a supervisor, and completes driver load exception reports to ensure products are picked and binned for accountable processes. The position may require work at night, on weekends, and/or in the early morning based on business needs.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
One year of warehouse experience.
Positive, upbeat attitude.
Ability to work in high places.
Ability to lift, push, and pull required weights.
Ability to work night, weekend, and/or early morning hours based on business needs.
Must complete pre-employment screening, including a criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Machine operations experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Operate scan equipment to locate, pick, bin, and cycle product.
Handle products safely and observe material-handling safety practices.
Locate and return received goods and transferred products to the appropriate areas.
Prepare driver load exception reports and ensure products have been picked and binned for accountable processes.
Track daily progress and immediately report discrepancies, errors, or potential roadblocks to a supervisor.
